April Crafts... I know a little late!

So I've become a huge fan of pintrest and I came across this Peep Wreath... and thought that it would be perfect for Easter.  And I love peeps which made it better.

I went to Walmart and bought a ton of peeps... way to many I learned but I found out that they were Gluten Free so I didn't mind having a few left over!

Then I got a styrofoam wreath from Hobby Lobby and covered it with ribbon.  I like the green styrofoam wreaths... but I'm sure you can use other ones.

And I just started hot gluing them to the wreath... I tried pinning them but that didn't work.  I learned as I went that you should open the peeps and let them get hard then they would be easier to work with.  But I was impatient so I just went with it.

I think alternating the colors really added something to it... and really made it feel like Easter.

I added a ribbon at the end with some hot glue and pins.

Then Mod Podged it.  I live in a building with lots of dogs, and I didn't want them barking at my door because they wanted the sugary goodness that is peeps.  So the mod podge definitely helped with that and to control all the sugar from getting all over my floor.

I hung it on the door with one of those command hooks... Its a heavy wreath so I was a little worried it wouldn't hold.  But it did throughout the spring.  I got tons of compliments on it.

Emily's Wedding

So Its a little late but Emily, my step sister got married in September... and I thought I'd share a few pics from the day.  More like my favorite ones of the day.  And too be honest only a couple of them include the bride.
Me lacing Emily into her dress.
I love this shot of me getting ready... and my tattoo looks so good.

After we got ready at the hotel, we made our way to the place where Bryan and Emily got married.  And of course we had to take a few pictures.

The place they got married had this second floor with a balcony that overlooked a man made lake.  It was a great spot for some pictures.

Kassidy isn't paying attention here but she was the perfect angel that day.  She was such a good little girl, I was so proud, like I am everyday to be her aunt.

Balcony shot of all the girls.

Me and my mini-me Kassidy!  Love it.  Except the tan lines I have.  Oh well still a fun day hanging out with her.  I wish I had a shot of us getting our hair done together.

Mom and Kaleb dancing.  He's such a little stud.

By far one of my favorite shots from the wedding... Kaleb looks so cute and innocent here.

Me, Karla an Kassidy... I'm so glad we got this shot.  We are not often all together.

Kassidy and Kaleb were in the wedding... Kaleb was so cute delivering the rings.  The sun was in his eyes the whole time so they were shut so tight.  We had to keep talking to him and telling him what to do.  He was great during the whole ceremony and stood by Jimmy.  Kassidy was great.  She's getting so big I can't believe it.

You know me... I have to take things a step further... a step over the line.  So here's me and the best man in our picture.

And here's a few Gailey Family shots that I had to throw on here.

Over all it was a long few days... which ended in my mom and I getting in a huge fight and me doing a lot of things that I believe someone else should be doing but I feel like I didn't have a choice but to do them.  Otherwise... it was fun to see family and friends.

So just decided with the new year should come certain things... like maybe actually paying attention to my blog and updating it on a regular basis.  It helps that I'm sitting in an airport right now waiting for my flight to Greenville, SC to help Keith with a big presentation tomorrow.  The added bonus... to spend time with the munchkins!

It's been a long week of editing until like midnight then getting up early the next day and editing some more.  I hope that everything goes off without a hitch tomorrow.  Well with the exception that my youngest nephew is really sick.  I hate to hear that.  Hopefully he will be feeling a little better tomorrow, so Keith and Karla can have a little fun tomorrow without worrying.  Of course I just want to give him a big hug when I get there, but I'm sure I won't be able too.  Maybe by Sunday when I leave I can get one.

Okay... well I promise that I will be better at this.  I better start heading over  to the gate.  I leave in about 25 minutes.  So I bet we're boarding....

I will post pics of the event... of my videos playing on the screens.  I'm nervous to see everyones reaction.

Melissa's Wedding Weekend... Raleigh, NC

My good friend Melissa Bailey got married in March of 2010 and asked me to be a bridesmaid... see I met Melissa when I was working in Raleigh at WLFL/WRDC. She took a job at WRAL not long before I moved to Las Vegas... but we've remained friends and I was honored that she asked me.

First things first... I flew in on the Thursday before the wedding to help throw her a little bachlorette party. We ended up going to this place little bar that had a lounge act. They were so good.

Of course we can't have a party without penis straws straight from Vegas!

Lori and Melissa enjoying their beverages and great music.

They sang Melissa, "Going to the chapel" and some various wedding songs.

The other singer... He was awesome!!!

Melissa was enjoying herself... the two rum and cokes and champagne helped out.

Here's the group of us... Lori (another bridesmaid and friend), Annie (came in from Atlanta early to party with us), Melissa (the bride), well Me (I actually traveled the farthest to be at the wedding) and Cherri (the brides sister and Maid of Honor). Unfortunately Melissa's other sister Jessica was extremely pregnant with her daughter Jamie and couldn't be there with us.

Here's Melissa in the Brides room... it was a tiny little room where we all got dress.  I wish I had a picture for how small it was but when 5 people need to get dressed there it felt even smaller!

Melissa's sister Jessica was so pregnant.  Shortly after the wedding she had baby Jamie.  I loved this picture because Melissa just looked so happy and excited to get married.

They had personalized napkins on every table for the cocktail hour.  And the reception was at Marbles... which is a Children's Museum in Raleigh, NC.  I used to love that place when I lived there.

Melissa and Chad's First Dance

They were so happy here.  I'm glad I got the chance to be a part of it all.

Me and Lori at the wedding party table.  Funny story.  On the menu was pasta, Melissa spilled it all over her dress.  I was in the bathroom for like 20 minutes trying to get it off her dress.  At least it was at the bottom of it.

Some old co-workers from North Carolina.  I miss them, especially now that we are spread out across the country again.

They were dancing and I totally butted it.  They were both shocked but I thought it was funny.

All in all a good night and a good trip to Raleigh.  I haven't been back since... I definitely need to plan another trip there.

Last New Years in Las Vegas!

Okay so I'm a lot behind and I'm playing catch up... so here goes!

Here is Ian getting all set up for the show!

Since Ian and Terry both had to work on New Years Eve they convinced me to go and hang out on the strip with them.  So really I ended up somewhat working.
So the stage was set up again in front of Caesars Palace.  There is something awesome about celebrating the new year on the Vegas Strip!
The stage from the back!

Sophia and Jim preparing for the show!
News 3 broadcasted live from the strip every year!  Each year they alternated anchors to host.  This time was Sophia Choi and Jim Snyder.  Sad part is Sophia isn't at the station anymore either.

Sophia and Jim... show started!
The show is from all over Vegas... including downtown.  But I never went down there for New Years Eve.  For the 3 years that I worked in Vegas... I was always at Caesars Palace at the main set.

Sophia, Jim and Dan Ball

Terry Wood!  I miss this guy!
We always had fun working on New Years.  Of course that meant no drinking.  But Terry is making the most of it in this pic!

More production shots.  Nothing like a little behind the scenes action.

Ian and Jason "the floor director"

So here's a little insight on the next few pictures.  Ian... well he likes food.  And Serendipity brought us all this food which was so nice.  Well Ian couldn't leave the camera position so he made me bring it to him.  I'm a sucker! And yes those are condiments too!

Happy New Year... 2010!  I can't believe that!  I am so far behind on this blog.

What the Strip somewhat looks like on New Years.
